2009 – 2010 Monthly Meeting Highlights

We collected 60 Purses for Dress for Success along with 25 backpacks for Rainbow House at our Sept Meeting.

October 2009, GADAA participated in a Halloween Carnival with our collegiate chapter from North GA College for 59 little Girl Scouts!

Pat Nagle shares the true life story of her father, Admiral Fuqua, and how he won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroic efforts at Pearl Harbor. 

Celebrating Founder’s Day with KD’s around Atlanta at the Old Vinings Inn.

Jaunuary 2012 Meeting

Tales from a White House Event Planner, Allison Ratajczak, made a great presentation! She discussed ho events are planned and shared some interesting behind the scenes stories. On story featured the activities at the White House during the 9/11 attacks. Lund and fellowship followed the business meeting. Our hostess, Lyn Routenberg, along with co-hostesses Chris Adams, Karen Blackwood, Nancy Courtney and Emilie Friese provided a delicious lunch.

December Christmas Open House 2011

The Christmas Open House was at the beautiful home of Norma Edenfield. This popular event was open to spouses and friends and was well attended. Sixty Teddy Bears were collected for the children at Rainbow House and Shelter. It was a great way for GADAC to make a difference in the lives of abandoned and abused children. Thanks to our co-hostesses Helen Alston, Fio Crockford and Ann Gatwood.

November Meeting 2011

This meeting featured Ellie Davis with financial tips for our members. Thirty-five members were present for this meeting in which Vice President for Programs Helen Alston presided. Members brought casseroles for the residents of Interfaith Outreach Home,a homeless transition shelter. These dishes were given for Thanksgiving After the meeting a great lunch was served. Our hostess was Gale Probst with co-hostesses, Fran Benoit, Nita Chambless, Sandra Davis, Dot Mears and Anne Wallace.
